1. Note the upright riding position, with the back
straight: much better for your overall posture. Avoid those
back problems by not folding yourself into a 'V'. The
comfortable seat is kinder on your nether regions, too.
2. Wide, retro handlebars = more control. Your
head is up and you can see the sights as you go along, not just the
rear of the racer in front of you in the peloton. Acknowledge
those cheering crowds. Perhaps even stop and have a chat.
3. Useful, sturdy luggage rack. Where would
you put your picnic on the Tour de France bike? No room for
any snacks at all! No wonder the temptation is to resort to
performance-enhancing drugs when you finally stop pedalling.
4. Cool, chromed mudguards keep the mud off your
strides. Or would you prefer to shave your legs?
5. Fat tyres, soaking up the bumps: Horseguards'
Parade or Alpine col - no chattering teeth for the Go Pedal rider!
