London Cycling
"Cycling is the fastest, most healthy and
environmentally friendly way to get around London, and more and more
people are taking it up." Ken Livingstone, ex-Mayor of London
(new mayor*, new cycling policies? see 'London Cycling News below)

Average traffic
speeds in Central London are decreasing each year as a result of
more and more congestion: the average is currently around 11MPH
(17kph) - roughly the same as it was a hundred years ago. So use a bike to get about,
and be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem!

* London's new mayor (from May 2008) Boris Johnson
is keen on cycling, and we were hoping his administration
would continue the progress made while Ken was mayor.
Not convinced so far, though (see London Cycling News)
