Not the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme

To avoid any confusion, Go Pedal is NOT Barclays Cycle Hire, the scheme launched by the city in July 2010. This is what they look like:

We welcome the new scheme, with its objective of getting 40,000 more people on bikes every day. The more cyclists around, the better London becomes for cycling, so more people decide to cycle...and so on: it's a virtuous circle, innit? If you need a bike in Central London, for an hour or so, take a Barclays Special. If you'll be needing it for longer, and are perhaps venturing outside the centre, you might like to Go Pedal. To help you decide, here's a comparison:

Remember, a Go Pedal bike is yours for the day, weekend, week or whatever - you can lock it up wherever and whenever you want, then just jump on it again when you're ready for the off. With a Barclays bike, you need to re-dock it at a station, then check out another one.
