Our bikes are a
classic city cruiser. Fully adjustable so one-size-fits
all: smart Chelsea Blue with cross-bar or bright Pillar-box red
open-frame. They have fat tyres and a big, sprung seat,
providing a very comfortable ride, whatever the bumps.
A smooth twist-grip shifts a Shimano 3 speed rear hub.
There's a chain-cover, and bright chrome mud-guards hug the
tyres, keeping you clean and dry whatever you're riding over.
And a strong rack over the rear wheel will hold a bag, as well
as your D-lock.

 You see a lot of
mountain-bikes being pedalled around London. We're
not sure why: they're great in the mountains, but most
of London is pretty flat - you don't need 21 gears and
chunky tyres: it just makes for harder work.
Go Pedal bikes are easy to 'drive': even though the
tyres are fat, they are designed specifically for the
city with a shallow tread (the tyres are called
'Big Apple' but they work just as well here as in New
York). Unlike mountain
bikes, they don't sound like a John Deere on a turnip field.
And the guarded chain and wheels mean you stay clean and dry.

Pedal machine versus a £10K Tour de France bike)
We supply a
helmet and a 'D' lock with each bike.
If you'd like to go pedalling
with some little ones, we hire out Burley Bee child
trailers. These are an excellent design and very safe.
However, we don't recommend you use them on London roads -
great fun on cycle-tracks, in parks and so on, but we don't
like to see them mixing it with London motor
traffic.
